My parents have been totally out of the Christmas spirit for years (as in no gifts or decorating) and we usually do a serious exchange with Bear's family. We won't spending time with his family this year, due to lack of vacation, so we will be having a paired down holiday with my family. We have six family members, and we will have to get one person gifts, with a $50 limit plus stocking stuffers. We will still have to send gifts (probably just giftcards) to Bear's family, and I hate to do that, but shipping can cost as much as the gift.
